Jake Reeley

pianist - composer

Jake Reeley (b. 2004) is a pianist and composer, studying music composition and piano performance at Eastern Illinois University with Brad Decker. At EIU they are a recipient of the full-ride Pemberton Presidential Scholarship. Their musical style can be characterized by its deep and rich story telling with a heavy emphasis on collaboration. Reeley has gotten to work in the interdisciplinary arts while studying at EIU, working with both many different short film makers as well as sculptors.

As a pianist, Reeley works in the Charleston Illinois area as an accompanist and soloist. Working as the accompanist for the Eastern Central Choral, Charleston High School, and Wesley United Methodist Church in Charleston, they are often collaborating and creating music with others. They also often play in musical pits, performing shows like Anything Goes, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and She Loves Me. Outside of vocal music, Reeley has also worked as a instrumental accompanist, playing for senior recitals and competitions. Along with accompanying they get to work as soloist, performing at many different venues in the Coles county area. Reeley also teaches beginning to intermediate piano to all ages.
